Hi, we are Simon & Sonia from Bristol. Here is a little bit about us and how we have come to be doing what we're doing! We have both worked in cafes, restaurants and bars over the years. Both in Bristol and on our travels. So when our daughter grew up and went off to do her own thing 10 years ago we decided to work for ourselves.

We were looking to achieve a work/downtime balance that would allow us to work very, very hard and earn time off - quality time to spend with our family and friends and to travel, which is our passion. The summer festival season looked like the answer.

We began The Lush Creperie in 2006 with just the two of us in a small market stall. We have steadily grown from an ugly duckling into the beautiful Lush Creperie that we are now.We believe you need to start small and learn your trade rather than running before you can walk. So lots of hard work and a fairly priced menu has earned us great feedback from customers and event organisers alike, and over the years we have gone from strength to strength, Winning the

'Peoples Choice Award' at Womad 2014.

The festival season is tough, hard work. Long hours, rain & mud, back ache, feet ache, toilets from hell, noise, mud - did I say mud already? constantly planning the logistics of arriving at another event before we have even set up at one!!

We laugh a lot; with our staff, the public and other traders... One weekend we're at Boomtown and the next we are at a English Heritage historical re-enactment with spitfires flying over head and knights jousting across the field! It's madness but great fun!
